Sponsor A Pet Program

Do you wish you could help a homeless pet by giving it a good home, but right now adopting a new pet is just not possible? Or are you looking for the perfect gift for a friend or loved one who loves animals? We have a program that will work for you!

As you know, our animals stay with us until they are adopted. This means that sometimes our friends are with us for quite awhile and in some cases-- forever. You can become a friend to these pets through your sponsorship of them. The cost for pet sponsorship is:

$30 — Pet Friend (3 month sponsorship)
$55 — Pet Caretaker (6 month sponsorship)
$100 — Pet Guardian (1 year sponsorship)

To introduce you to your new friend, you will receive a welcome packet letting you know a little more about your chosen pet, including a picture of him or her. If you're sponsoring a pet as a gift for someone, we can send the sponsorship packet directly to that person if you'd like. Your sponsored pet will also get a card like the ones shown above and we'll display it on his/her cage or living area to let everyone know that YOU care about Kansas City’s pets. If your pet gets adopted during your sponsorship period-- and we hope that happens!-- then we'll let you know and you'll get to sponsor another pet.

To begin your sponsorship just fill out the on-line form below and make your donation through PayPal (or download a form and mail it in).

You can choose which animal you would like to sponsor by viewing our current residents on our Petfinder Adoption Page or you can let us choose an animal for you. You should receive your sponsor welcome packet in 2 weeks or less. If you are giving Sponsor A Pet as a gift and need it sooner please contact us and we'll try to accommodate you.

Renewing Your Sponsorship On-Line

If you are already sponsoring a pet and you've recieved a letter notifying you that your sponsorship period has expired, you may renew your sponsorship on-line. Click here to renew on-line.
