We highly recommend that you take your dog to obedience classes. Classes should be reward-based and fun for you and your dog-- this is an opportunity for you and your dog to bond. Not only will you and your dog learn a lot but it's also a great way to socialize your dog with people and other dogs.
We've provided this list as a service to the community and to give you a place to start, but we cannot make endorsements. Before working with any trainer we recommend asking for their qualifications and/or references. You can also ask the instructor if you can observe a class before signing up to make sure it's a good match for you and your dog. Ask your veterinarian or "doggy friends" for their recommendations, too.
