Kansas City Area Animal Rescue Groups There are many people in our area who are dedicated to helping a particular breed of dog or cat or other types of critters. Our humane society and many other area shelters network with these groups in order to be able to help more of the animals who come through our doors. Most of these people foster animals in their homes until they can find them a new home. Contact them to adopt a pet or to learn more about a particular breed or type of pet. • Dog
