Humane Education

Our staff and volunteers believe education is the key to ending cruelty toward animals, reducing pet overpopulation, and creating a more compassionate community. Through school-based presentations, on-site tours, and distributing literature, we teach the importance of compassion toward animals, responsible pet care, and how to approach unfamiliar pets. Presenters are accompanied by a pet to demonstrate these important lessons that will last you a lifetime.

We also reach out to the community with our low-cost veterinary clinic, educating our clients about proper pet care and kindness towards animals.

Our partnership with the Post Office enables us to distribute spay/neuter and bite prevention information in Wyandotte County. We also partner with KCK Animal Control to visit communities in need of our low-cost spay/neuter and veterinary services and pet care help.

We are continually striving to expand existing programs and to develop new ones in order to reach more people and help more animals.
