Preventive Veterinary Care Clinic

The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City offers a variety of preventive and basic veterinary care services. No appointments are required; rather our veterinarians see patients on a first-come, first-served basis. We do not screen based on financial need.

Clinic Hours*

Monday thru Friday: 9am to 4pm
No clinic on Saturday (spay/neuter appointments only)
Closed on Sunday

*Please call ahead at 913-596-1000 to verify times. Our clinic sometimes experiences large volumes of clients. When this happens we must stop accepting clients for that day.

Clients are able to receive preventive health care for their pets including exams, vaccinations and tests for heartworm disease, feline leukemia and feline immunosuppressive virus. Basic care for things such as small wounds and flea allergies are also provided. We sell heartworm prevention medication for dogs, flea and tick prevention, and other basic pet care products.

We are not a full-service clinic and do not provide services such as x-rays, teeth cleaning, extensive lab work, or surgeries other than spay/neutering.

We require that any adult pet using our clinic services be spayed/neutered. Most puppies and kittens can be spayed or neutered starting at 4 months of age. We do not offer our veterinary services to breeders. Spay/neuter clinic information >
