Did you know that The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City provides low-cost spay/neuter services and preventive veterinary care? We employ veterinarians and support staff for our clinic, which is located in our facility. The mission of our clinic is to help people on a limited budget to care for their pets, to provide education about proper pet care, and to reduce pet overpopulation and save lives by spaying and neutering.
Proper veterinary care is essential to keeping pets healthy and happy, and affordable care helps people from having to give up their beloved pets or euthanize them during difficult financial times.
We are able to offer these services because our costs are subsidized by private donations. Although we do not screen clients based on their financial abilities, our desire is to help those with limited finances care for their pets. If you are able to afford it, we recommend that you establish a relationship with a full-service veterinary clinic that will be able to provide all of the services your pet may require. Our intent is not to replace full-service clinics, but to make it possible for people on a tight budget to get affordable veterinary care for their pets and to provide educational guidance to improve and save the lives of pets.
