Francis is
a very friendly and good-natured Lab mix. He's about 2 years
old and he gets along very well with other
dogs. He likes to play, though he calms down really nicely,
too. Francis had a rough start to his life. He lived in a junk
yard and some nuns fed him because he was so thin
(he was named after Saint Francis!). He's been at our
shelter for a long time.
Dogs & cats
with black coats are often the last to be adopted. And Francis
is just one of the many wonderful black dogs & cats residing
at our shelter right now.
A few reasons to
adopt a black coated dog or cat: Black is elegant, goes with everything,
it hides dirt... and we're pretty sure that being seen with a black
dog or cat makes you look thinner! And most of all-- these guys
and gals are just as loving and wonderful as any other color.
