Adoptions

Satellite Adoption Events
A few times each month we pick out several of our shelter pets, give them a good scrubbing in the tub or extra brushing, and go out on the town to look for good homes! It's fun and good socialization for them, and a great opportunity for you to meet your new best friend.

Adoption PhotoWe do not send pets home directly from our satellite adoption events. Instead, we ask that you fill out an application online or at the event and we'll follow up on the next business day. We do this so that you have some time to think about it without having to make a hurried decision and commitment, and to allow us time to review applications. If we both agree that this pet is good match for you, then we can arrange a time that's convenient for you to pick up your new furry friend from our shelter.

For more information please go to our adoption process page. Please note that we prefer and may require a fenced yard for many of our dogs. Exceptions are made on an individual basis depending on the dog's needs, the person's dog experience, the dog's and person's activity levels, home environment and other factors.

Come on out and meet our wonderful pets at our next event! To inquire about which pets may be coming to the following satellite adoption events, or to make a request, call 913-596-1000 ext. 113 or send an email.
