100 Years of Saving Animals presented by Dee Wallace

Much has changed since The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City's doors opened 100 years ago, but one thing has stayed the same: our unswerving dedication to improving the lives of animals in the Kansas City Area. We pledge to continue the fight to save and improve the lives of animals in Kansas City today, tomorrow, and for another hundred years.

Thank you for your support of the animals! We can't do what we do without you!

• Make a Donation Make a one-time donation, monthly donations, or honor a person or pet!

• $50 will subsidize a spay/neuter for a low-income individual
• $75 will buy 1 bottle of kennel cough treatment for 10 dogs
• $100 will spay/neuter a 70 pound dog or buy kitty litter for 85 cats for a week
• $200 will buy heartworm treatment for a shelter pet
• $500 will buy 50 microchips or 2 digital cat scales
• $1,000 will buy an electronic dog scale

• Support Gabriel's Fund Your donation provides additional medical care for sick or injured pets.


• Become a Volunteer Our volunteers are lifesavers! Walk dogs, socialize cats, help with office work, volunteer at satellite adoption events, foster a pet, assist with fundraising events, donate your special skills... the opportunities are endless!


• Adopt a Pet We have many wonderful pets for adoption in our No Kill Shelter. If you can't adopt, you could sponsor one of our shelter pets.


• Attend an HSGKC Fundraiser Have fun while raising money to help animals!


• Collect In-Kind Donations Paper towels, dog collars, litter boxes, trash bags-- we always need supplies! Check out our Sit Up & Beg Wish List.


• Help Spread the Word Like Us on facebook, share our news on social media, invite us to speak at your business, church, school, neighborhood association.


• Include HSGKC in Your Estate Plans Show your commitment to a better world for unwanted and forsaken pets even past your lifetime.
